I love how the British were like: “we are sick and tired of being subjects to the king. We will travel across the ocean, begin anew, and leave our old life behind. And we will call these places: New York, New Jersey, New London, etc.”
Also, people who think that firing Franklin mid-season is a smart move really don’t know anything about running a multi-million dollar enterprise and certainly don’t think about what’s in the best interest of the student athletes (and that includes the people who actually did the firing.)
I remember a heckuva lot of people going: “yeah right - Bill Belichick is gonna have dinner at some 18 year old kid’s house and impress his parents???” They conceded from day one that he was going to somehow outsource recruiting.
I think Brian Kelly’s mistake was not screaming at Nussmeier enough after that timeout. Don’t get me wrong - he screamed at him real good. His face even turned redder than usual. But if he really screamed as well as he could have, i think LSU would have pulled it out.
