Friends of @wombat37.bsky.social unite!

By quote reposting this, I’m hoping to make a virtual chain of people around Wombie. Full of love and happy memories of this great friend of ours, so he can feel us making a huge circle of love and care around him.

Are you in?

It’s going to be a deeply unpleasant country if Reform ever gain power. All sense of compassion, decency, solidarity and humanity will be destroyed. It will be Thatcherism on speed and we need to stop it from happening.

Wondering where you went wrong often leads to the conclusion that you didn’t.

I wasn’t offered a job when I really needed one, but the founder subsequently snuggled up to Nigel Farage. Dodged a bullet there.

If BBC News was a hotbed of left-wing wokery producing *systemically* biased coverage Jeremy Corbyn may well have been elected Prime Minister in 2019.

It’s not. He wasn’t.

And we got Boris Johnson instead.

Just as with pretty much everything else, we should expect the Labour government to learn exactly the wrong lesson from the BBC fiasco.

Something I learned, through direct observation, while working in heavy industry, is that capitalists are perfectly willing to exploit you to death, then pay corrupt professionals to cover it up.

Now that Blair has admitted meeting Epstein in 10 Downing St, when he was PM, there must be: 1) correspondence on the arrangements for the meeting; 2) minutes of the meeting and 3) presumably some sort of security/background check. We should ask that this be placed in the public domain immediately.

And here we are.

One of the first things I can remember learning, as a very small child, is how utterly interesting some things are.

Lately, mostly what I’ve learned is how utterly evil a lot of people are, yet they still expect to be respected.

Being very small was better.
