For what it’s worth, the power/strength of the United States came from its position as a large stable market where rights and contracts were generally respected, enforced and also predictable.
Laws were also respected in no small part because of the threat of #accountability.

Trump broke all that.

There are 45 Dems. Who are the 22 Repubs voting to convict?
Impeachment #3 would be a redundant exercise demonstrating that the system is broken beyond repair. #NationalDivorce

With new federal structures based around our shared values, We could do things like tax reform, universal healthcare, & gun control without red states holding us back. And red states could build the Christian nationalist dystopia they always wanted without dragging the rest of us down.

There would need to be votes by state legislatures to make things legitimate due to the non-functional federal government, but really this is probably long overdue. There would be disagreements, but our current situation is approaching a worst case scenario.

Dissolve the federal government and let states reaffiliate w/eachother. After #NationalDivorce, What you end up with is two or more economically & more politically stable countries whose governments wouldn't be locked in a perpetual stalemate or deteriorating into dictatorship.

They should plot their own paths.

Remember, the United States isn't contiguous right now (AK, HI, PR)

No, it is entirely possible and not that hard to do.

We make binary choices for president every 4 years.
We vote and only a few states are even swing states.

We vote.

It can be that easy.

And if we don't, we are guaranteed dictatorship.
