Trump is refusing to use contingency funds to fund SNAP — even though his own administration’s guidance said he had the legal authority to do so.

But he’ll find a way to bail out Argentina, conduct extrajudicial killings in the Caribbean, and build a vanity ballroom.

Priorities.

The man who launched an attempted coup on the United States in 2020 and instigated an insurrection at the Capitol that resulted in five deaths now claims that people in LA are launching an insurrection. They’re not.

This guy telling you LA is on fire is the same guy that told you to drink bleach.

Dear Democratic Members of Congress,

Stop telling me about what he's doing. We can all see it.

Start telling me about what you're doing to stop it!

Signed,

My favorite thing about the coverage of this “constitutional crisis” is this new smarty-pants term we have now for a bloodless coup.

When life hands you a metaphor.
Virtually every Cybertruck — those freaky Tesla vehicles made to look like aggression incarnate – has been recalled, because, literally, they come unglued. What a metaphor for this regime: a weak vehicle trying to look tough, a victim of its own cheapness, an ugly toy falling apart.
Coming Unglued: Week Eight of the Stupid Coup (and the Stalwart Resistance)
Spring is here and so is authoritarianism, and I recommend your serious attention to both. We may be at this resistance business for a while, so take care of yourself so you can keep taking care of hu...

We need more people like her in Congress.
Elon Musk and his 19-year-olds have now disrupted the approval of medical devices that save lives.

Every member of Congress bears a responsibility to stop this right now.

One of my aunts is reposting pro-Trump nonsense like it’s her job. When will they notice egg prices aren’t going down and a Muskrat is making himself richer st the expense of programs meant to make life better for Americans?

One place our government could save a lot of money is the billions given to Elon Musk's companies every year.

Want to call your representatives, but the chaos is so deep the only thing you can think of to say is more a series of incoherent screaming because you don’t know where to start?

Maybe start with the Muskrat and go from there with this handy guide and script:

Y'all pick a lane. Then make a little progress in your lane each day.

Every serious, experienced organizer I know is Doing Their Thing. Instead of freaking out about each bit of bad news, we're in our lanes rapidly building dual power infrastructure and networks that don't rely on the goverment.

YES.
The Treasury Department right now. People are turning out against Musk and DOGE staging a takeover of the Treasury’s payment system. This crowd is big. The whole block is packed. “Lock him up,” everyone yells.

Let me try to be a little more constructive. The reality is that progressive policies have always been about "welcome in". The world we want has never left anyone out. If these folks want to come over to the side that actually wants to help them, they can do so. It shouldn't require coddling.

Trump’s tariffs are driving up prices for us, while driving down demand for U.S. exports in Canada and Mexico.

This why you don’t trust your country’s economic policies to someone who bankrupted 5 casinos.
