Honestly, I did NOT have "punching the air and going HELL YES to Chris Patten" on my bingo card today. But what he says is SO rarely said and needed saying SO badly!

"How shall we treat Mr Farage's concerns? Shall we hail Brexit a tremendous success? Something that has cost the country billions?"
SUPERB and angrily unvarnished response, by former BBC chairman, Lord Patten.

"I don't think that we should allow ourselves to be bullied into thinking that the BBC is only any good, if it reflects the prejudice of the last person who shouted at it." ~AA

What you’re witnessing is a populist assault on the BBC.

This is not an institutional scandal in any meaningful sense of the word. It is an attack on public service broadcasting.

A stunner from one of the great pervy poets of horror cinema. The nudity is copious, the kills ghastly. But what really gets under the skin is the film's unbearable sadness. You see Lahaie and her fellow patients fight to hold onto their humanity and remember their pasts, but it's all for naught.

I love the idea that we can't call it socialism because it scares people. it's like when I tell toddlers my ice cream is spicy so they won't want to eat it.

We are so sad to hear that Dave Ball, the keyboard genius of Soft Cell, has died. He was an electronic pop pioneer and with Marc Almond made a unique catalogue of songs, completely original in sound and content. Our love and condolences go to Marc and all those close to Dave. Neil and Chris xx

One benchmark of a democracy is whether it is willing to hold those who have served at the very highest levels to account.

Can you imagine the United States ever doing something like this?

Digitone II is sold. I just wasn't vibing with it. Elektron workflow is far more streamlined and intuitive with their non poly boxes. Plus I get far superior FM techno tones far faster from my Nord Lead A1.
