Today marks the 100th anniversary of the publication of “The Great Gatsby”

I’m all for celebrating with a jazz-age soirée, but given the current moment, let’s also honor F Scott Fitzgerald’s work by thinking about how unregulated wealth, casual racism & convenient fatalism color the American dream.

As long as I’m enjoying them, it doesn’t matter how long the book is 🤷🏼‍♀️

જ⁀➴ Would you rather read one long (900ish-pages) book or three shorter (300-ish pages) books?

Better late than never - my review of Recipes for an Unexpected Afterlife! A fun, high fantasy read about an undead orc forced into retirement!
Book Review: Recipes for an Unexpected Afterlife
Greetings, adventurers, welcome back to the library! Happy April! I know this post is late (since I try to post on Tuesday/Thursday). But I'm here! I'm coming at your today with another book review. Thanks to NetGalley I recently got to read a really fun ARC. If DnD, Baldur's Gate, and Legends and Lattes are right up your alley, …

I physically couldn't read this series fast enough. I absolutely LOVE it and recommend it for any fantasy reader! The Lord of Stariel series is Howl's Moving Castle meets Bridgerton! #booksky #bookrec
Series Rec: The Lord of Stariel by A.J. Lancaster
Greetings, adventurers, welcome back to the library! During the depths of my reading slump, I never thought I’d read another long series again. Nothing was appealing to me. There were no books that could pry me away into their pages. Until last year, when I finally picked up a book again (and decided to make it my entire personality). I talk a lot about…

I will never understand why reading a book or being on my phone in the car makes me nauseous. Meanwhile I can read on my kindle just fine??? #makeitmakesense

I definitely don’t go through my TBR list as often as I should. I only do it if I come across a book I realize I’m no longer into and do it just for the one.

જ⁀➴ Do you go through and remove books from your TBR that you are no longer interested in reading? If so, how often? If not, why?

I got approved for more #NetGalley books than I thought I would. I’m not complaining, but I might be putting a small pause on my reading challenge. But as long as I hit my 25 book goal for the year 🤷🏼‍♀️ #booksky🦋📚

The #TransRightsReadathon starts today.

In a bit of a reading slump but still want to take part? Here are 30 trans and non-binary graphic novels we stock at www.proud-geek.co.uk that are well worth a read this year.

There is something therapeutic about remembering you can write your drafts however you want. I used to write fanfics like this sometimes and it has helped SO much with my drafting process.

Greetings, adventurers, welcome to the library! If you watched my recent YouTube video, you'll know that short stories are near and dear to my heart. I love reading and writing them. But I actually didn't purchase my first collection of short stories until 2022. It's a book I even got the audiobook to; Cathrine Ho is a phenomenal narrator. She breathed so much life into the stories, not to mention her voice was soothing.
