The Kings losing their pick last year would have meant they made the playoffs and they’d be free of their Stepien concerns. The Kings losing their pick this year is gonna be a wildly different situation.

A game under .500 with 11 to play. What an embarrassment. And in my opinion the blame lies squarely on the front office and ownership.

Because the Kings are now living in middle-of-the-standings purgatory, there's a very real scenario at play where they BOTH miss the playoffs and lose their pick.

I think the Kings will be better than these last two games with LaVine once they get some time to gel. How much better? That’s the issue… especially if they keep Keon out of the starting lineup. And they don’t have time on their side.

In terms of regular season beams, tonight has the potential to be one of the best we've had. Kings fans have been kicked a lot lately and a win in the first home game in the post-Fox era would be a huge relief.
