The unthinkable happened: potstickers that were inedible.

I absolutely adore potstickers. A.Dore.

Tried the new PF Changs at-home bagged potstickers.

The wrappers were great.

The FILLING, however, was dry, poorly seasoned, and utterly repellent.

I'll go back to making my own from scratch.

Angry engineers, disengaged architects, confused project managers.

Can't *wait* to see what the operations teams say tomorrow when I present the clusterfuck that is the new Change & Incident Management.

So glad I quit shopping at Target in 2011.

I thought Kohl's "smile and say hi" was irritating back in the day, but the bullshit Target is pushing on their staff is far beyond 15 pieces of flair. Or pretty-boy Brian and his 37 pieces of flair. #IYKYK

Home builders/designers/architects should really interview people who work from home.

No, I don't want your fartbox 4x5 "pocket office." That is useless, and the space is often in a location much better suited to be a pantry.

Talk to actual user. (I know, *the horror*)

Got manager support today (not that they really have a choice in the matter), for the 3 ring circus that is about to be Change management.

Got Incidents & Service Requests squared away (at least for launch next week. They are far from done) and the deck is ready to go.

Problem will have to wait.

FINALLY got my colonoscopy directions.

Gonna start the 1st half of the vile drink mixture right after work.

Because I need to start the 2nd half of the vile drink mixture at 1:30am.

Would like to try for a couple of hours of sleep between rounds of poops.

Fucking Change Management. Goddamnit.

Enormous Pain in my Ass (and I say this whilst eating a low fiber diet in preparation for my colonoscopy in 2 days).

I've got Dashboards created from Reports and even managed to wrangle Service Requests before Change wrenched my attention back to itself.

ROFL....looking at the upscale grocery store order options for Thanksgiving. I did that back when I was working an insane number of hours for a national retailer. Cracked 100 in 2017.

That was the year I vowed would be my last at that madhouse. And it was. No human being should work 100 hours/week.

Yay homeownership.

Spouse decided to vacuum the downstairs office & family room.

While he was at it, I suggested doing the dryer vent as well. Been awhile since we did that.

So now we're both filthy and in need of another shower, but at least we reduced our chances of a dryer fire.

Excited about my work trip next month (& seeing everyone). But nervous about flights.

Looked into Amtrak instead of flying. Yeah, no. Would need to leave Friday afternoon and wouldn't arrive till Monday afternoon. Return trip would leave Saturday morning and get back on Tuesday.

Got my team's existing reports mostly recreated in the new instance.

Some fields are either renamed or don't exist.

Will look next week and see if I can schedule the reports myself or if I have to request them to be scheduled 🙄.

Next up: building dashboards.

So dramatic! They could be donated to a library instead.

Most of what I flagged yesterday got fixed. Still haven't touched Problem management. Gonna log in tomorrow for a couple hours and knock out Service Requests & the CMDB. Hopefully.

That'll leave me with Problem & polishing the deck before I'm out for the colonoscopy.
I like to do my UAT/QA testing in Prod.

My boss told me to test in QA. Which I did. HOWEVER. Stuff built in QA did not make it into Prod.

Currently at 157 lines of failed items, and I still need to test roughly double that number of items.

I'mma keep testing in Prod. Cause stuff got missed 😡

Wanted to break in my new shoes. Planning to take them on my trip next month. Gonna wear on a day where I'm mostly sitting (the all-day town hall).

Yeah. Managed to get a tiny rock in each, and if that doesn't sum up this week, IDK what does.

Very "rock in shoe" - no bueno.

Day infinity of mucking about with Change management.

Can't wait (sarcasm) to present this to colleagues. They're gonna hate it, and rightly so.

In other ITSM news, I'm desperately hoping that I'll be able to spend the rest of my day on Problem management.

Leaves Friday for Service Requests.

The lawnmower arrived in a damaged box and was missing bolts.

Now I get to wait for UPS to pick up the box and hope no one steals it in the meantime.

UPS: leave the box on your porch.

Me: How about NO.

Sigh. I really didn't want to go lawnmower shopping again, but here we are.

Finished wrapping the trees in burlap. Low is gonna be below freezing tonight and tomorrow night, plus the potential of the first snowfall.

And the deciduous trees have dropped roughly 5% of their leaves. Gonna be a huge mess if it does snow. I hope it doesn't.

Lol @ Noodlehead (AKA Kody from Sister Wives) - "joking" about 'Brother Husbands'

My noodlehead in Christ: as a longtime married woman, I concur with your ex-wives.

I barely want the husband I currently have (& most days not at all). There's no way in FUCK that I want TWO husbands. JFC.

Classic overcorrection.

Because Changes were so extensively misused, we now have to submit Normal & Standard CHGs as Service Requests via the non-ITIL interface. EXCEPT informational Changes. Those are staying in IT interface.

Lol....local news doing a study on the useless shady home warranty companies out there.

New homeowner with a broken AC mistakenly assumed they'd cover it.

They cover nothing and use bottom of the barrel contractors.

Those warranties aren't worth the paper they're printed on. Save your money.

Think I want to keep the December holiday simpler and do throwback recipes - plum pudding with hard sauce, fruitcake dosed with a hefty measure of spirits. Hell, maybe I'll roast a goose while I'm at it.

Gonna do more fresh vegetable items for Thanksgiving. Perhaps it will balance out.
