The Workers' Group of @eesc.bsky.social is composed of representatives from national trade unions, confederations, and sectoral federations, bringing together members from over 80 trade union organisations.
During the last decade, house prices in the EU increased by 63.6% and rents by 21.1%, while wages lag behind. Workers are being priced out of their own communities.

Housing is a right! Europe must act fast.

The #AIAct rightly flags AI & #AlgorithmicManagement as high-risk, but stronger EU regulation is still needed to protect workers’ rights.

We stand in full solidarity with Italian workers and the CGIL as they take action today in a general strike.

Workers can't continue to pay the highest price for budget cuts and tax rises, while public services, wages, pensions and prospects for young people deteriorate.

Today, Portuguese workers and trade unions are taking to the streets and going on a General Strike to protest the 🇵🇹 government's proposed labour law reform.

We stand in full solidarity with them in their fight for fairness and the protection of their labour rights. ✊

On #HumanRightsDay, a reminder:

Human rights are not a commodity. Not negotiable. Not for sale.

Not even to billionaires.

We stand in full solidarity with @cgt.fr and their secretary general, Sophie Binet, indicted for “public insults” after a media intervention.

This worrying case shows attempts to silence union voices.

We stand with her✊

Persons with disabilities still face higher poverty rates, discrimination at work and gaps in social protection.

On the International Day of Persons with Disabilities, we call to build societies where everyone can participate, work and thrive.

#Slavery is not just a grim memory.

#ModernSlavery counts more than 50 million people around the world: #HumanTrafficking, #Forcedlabour and more.

Unaccountable global #SupplyChains and toothless #DueDilligence do little to help it.

We can end this.

🟣 On the International Day for the Elimination of Violence Against Women, we recall that violence is not part of the job.

We have a toolkit to be used by negotiators during collective bargaining negotiations with good practices for preventing and combating violence at work.

1 in 3 women in the EU have experienced physical violence, sexual violence or threats.

On the International Day for the Elimination of Violence Against Women, we demand safety, justice and dignity for every woman.

Today, we call for action.
Tomorrow, we make it happen.

His draft INL calls for transparency, human oversight & consultation, and a ban on intrusive monitoring.
