At one point I posted that the markets in Gaza were better stocked than the stores here in DC.

My local branch of a national chain is nicknamed "Soviet" because the lines are long and the shelves are often empty.

I'm not on X but saw the reposts here & could find the accounts posted at end of the videos to verify.

Just defied logic that there wasn't smuggling & people doing well like in any other conflict. Also I know people in US with regular contact with Gazans who were living in their apartments.

Had a convo today w a ✡️couple who went to Morocco recently on vacay. (son lived in Ukraine in 2014 so pretty savvy) We talked about how the Gen Z there is falling for the Jew hate on social media despite efforts by King Mo VI.

Media complains about not being able to get into Gaza. I've been able to watch (reposted) TikTok, independent media interviews & know people who support Gazans by paying for online language tutoring.

Seems like they weren't trying very hard to find anything that didn't agree w their narrative.🤦🏻

Just talked to a Legislative branch worker on furlough about healthcare and which of her team members will have coverage during the shutdown (she does) and who doesn't.

The ones who don't have furlough coverage are under ACA and will see their rates skyrocket.😢

Johnson can say whatever he wants and the media will report without analysis. People will believe it cuz it is presented by a trusted source.

My mom only has broadcast channels so I'm constantly reminding her to think critically about what the reporter is trying to sell her!
