if things go to shit (especially in farm states) i seriously believe we could get bliowa 2026
Trying not to get overly optimistic or anything but we’ve never had a post-Roe Trump midterm electorate before. Dems have most of the high propensity voters now - my guess is they score some very shocking wins in 2026 (*cough Sherrod Brown cough*). But again, trying to stay realistic.

Hello (again) Bluesky! I’m going to start posting here again, because that other app has become a disaster.

But first, I want to introduce myself. My name is Tina Smith, and I’m a proud United States Senator for Minnesota… ⬇️

CLAIM: Tim Walz helped create the GSA at his school when he was a Social Studies teacher.

FACT CHECK: Tim Walz was ackshually the *faculty advisor* of the GSA. He did not directly involve himself in the creation of the club but merely signed on to its authorization.
CLAIM: Tim Walz is a Linux user

FACT CHECK: What you're refering to as Linux, is in fact, GNU/Linux, or as I've recently taken to calling it, GNU plus Linux. Linux is not an operating system unto itself, but rather another free component of a fully functioning GNU system

Any doubts Joe may have had about stepping down were basically crushed tonight IMO

Even the crowd’s response to him was heartwarming - a “you did the right thing and we’re proud of you” kind of sentiment

Grimy Grover Cleveland is a TOTAL FRAUD who got rid of all the gold! And he supports America last - Grimy Grover hates the GREAT PANAMA CANAL! He hates Hawaii! We must annex! Now the crooked Dems got Wacky William Jennings Bryan instead, who is a radical socialist! Very sad!

Just told my 3 year old son about #debategate. He had tears in his eyes. And then he did the Wakanda pose and said "#joekanda forever" -- which is the sort of pop culture cross-over that I can celebrate.

Sorry, not sorry, not going to care about Trump’s hush money because I grew up with an alcoholic, psychologically abusive father in constant state of distress, anxiety and worry about the future.

Hearing the key in the door every evening was my own "hush money" for almost 20 years.

The earthquake that hit the New York area ultimately didn’t do much actual damage.

Here’s why that’s bad news for Joe Biden.

It’s the same schtick with higher education too. They’ve spent decades railing against “coastal liberal” college campuses, and now we’re at the point where they’re calling for affirmative action for conservatives in academia because “muh liberal bias.” What exactly did they expect?
man this is the beating heart of conservatism right here: throwing a tantrum at being asked to accept modern liberal institutions and then throwing more tantrums when they lose the benefits of modern liberal institutions
Every day since 2016 the Daily Express has discovered, with accompanying outrage, that leaving the European Union meant leaving the European Union.

I’ve said this before: the core, base Republican is not a working class MAGA Republican from Kentucky; it’s a rich independent contractor from Ohio who owns a used car dealership and has a son who’s captain of the football team. The “working class” Republican realignment BS just isn’t real.
Markwayne Mullin is the perfect Republican in the sense that he wants someone to give him a fuckin' medal for running a plumbing business he got from his daddy.

I’m really looking forward to see what happens in North Carolina next year. The Democratic slate is really strong; Josh Stein, Rachel Hunt, Jeff Jackson; they’re all ace recruits.
