Beginner Backpacking: CT Appalachian Trail
Two-day beginner backpacking trip with BU Outdoor Programs. Learn gear basics, how to pack 30–40 lb loads safely, and hike 8–14 miles total over two days on Appalachian Trail-adjacent routes in NW Connecticut (location TBD). Transportation from the BU Fitness and Recreation Center is provided.

Intermediate Backpacking: Monadnock Sunapee Greenway
Two-day guided backpacking trip with BU Outdoor Programs along the Monadnock–Sunapee Greenway (Washington, NH to Mt. Sunapee). Travel from the BU Fitness and Recreation Center to the trailhead is included. Expect ~20 miles and 4,500–5,000 ft of elevation on rugged terrain with established campsites; prior backpacking experience is required.

Sunset Hike: Mt Watatic
Join BU Outdoor Programs for a 2-mile sunset hike to Mt. Watatic, with about 610 feet of elevation gain. Transportation from the BU Fitness and Recreation Center is provided; bring headlamps for the rocky descent after sunset and enjoy sweeping views as daylight fades.

Cape Cod Rail Trail Bike Trip
Join BU Outdoor Programs for a 25-mile seaside ride on the Cape Cod Rail Trail. The route passes six Cape towns with built-in sightseeing stops; bike and helmet rental are included, and transportation from the BU Fitness and Recreation Center is provided. Moderate difficulty—must know how to ride a bicycle.
