Greetings! I'm 0laffson, a traditional hobbyist artist from Italy. I usually draw anthro animals and humans living in a setting resembling the early renaissance. Mainly SFW, with the occasional NSFW.

Drawtober 9-Majestic

What do you think, is he majestic looking enough? :P

Not much to say here, just a handsome lion guy, unrelated to any of my settings. He could be a Leonine from my girlfriend @hunterbeinghunted.bsky.social 's setting though, it would be quite fitting in term of looks! :D

Taking a lot of inspiration from my local history for this. Pockets of paganism remained in Alpine areas until the 16-17th centuries. Benandanti (good walkers) were a cult who believed they could fight evil spirits in the dream world.

Thinking of naming her Strìa btw (Witch in my local language)

Drawtober 8-Witch

Scrawny marten is back!
As I've mentioned before, she knows a thing or two about magic, mainly healing but also protection spells and exorcisms (like here).

She's a "good walker" who can visit the spirit world while dreaming / in a trance, and talk or fight with the beings there.

For the record, in Nur's society it's normal for high caste men to have more than one wife. Nur sees both Nireth and Khori equally as his mothers, although Khori (right) is his bio mom.

Nur's parents were a "throuple" and very much in love even before marrying each other, with a lot of family drama
0laffson.bsky.social
As they reached adulthood, Nur and his twin Kor followed their father Rahan to war. After 3 years, only Nur returned home, missing half of his face.

Nur's mothers, Nireth and Khori had to keep it together for the sake of their children, but the first few months were extremely rough on them.

HA! So it would seem! XD

She's the most loyal chicken! :P

I made one myself using a random word generator! So it's an "unofficial" challenge I do only for my own amusement ^^

Still, if you want to know the prompt list, let me know!

For the record, his uncle was a great warrior, but also a sadist who inflicted terrible horrors upon his prisoners. During a war campaign Azad, as warrior-priest, tried to tell him repeatedly the Gods were not approving of this, but was ignored.

In the end he killed his own uncle and was banished.

Drawtober 6-Exile

Azad has quite a calm personality, but when he was first banished from his tribe he didn't take it well at all.
As a warrior-priest Azad was staying away from earthly pleasures to be closer to the spirits, but after his banishment he went for the instant gratification route hard.

Drawtober 5-Lily

Some water lily farmers at work collecting seeds to later sell at the local market.

The three workers here belong to three separate species, an Ajshar (tufted cat, most common group), a Herimash (spotcat, forest dwellers) and a Human (new settlers, some peaceful, some invaders)

That's really cool! :D How are those proverbs like?

I know dugout canoes are still made in several parts of the world, but it's becoming less and less common (sad but understandable I guess).
I think in Europe Estonia is the only place where the tradition survived until modern days.
0laffson.bsky.social
I've been reading about some neolithic dugout canoes that were found in Europe, and some were almost 20 metres long, so I wanted to draw something along those lines. Once ready a canoe like this can carry a whole war party

It's made by hollowing a tree trunk with controlled burning and carving btw
0laffson.bsky.social
Drawtober 4-Carve

My new obsession: dugout canoes :P
The Herimash, one of the two catfolk species of my setting, are not afraid of water. While some tribes are skilled sailors in the open seas, for others a canoe is more than enough, and in this case the whole tribe has come together to create one!

Oh man, that sounds awful! Hope you have a quick recovery!

Drawtober 3-Poem

I don't think Enorach knows how to write in this stage of his life, and even if he does his handwriting is probably terrible. If he needs to seduce some fair maiden with a poem, Lars has to help him (and suffer greatly in the process). :P

Drawtober 2-Instrument

Shadi's favourite instrument is the oud, but she's always had a talent for music in general, and as she becomes more of a professional in the field she'd start mastering more and more instruments, like a Sitar in this case!

She's also exploring her feminine side a bit more!
0laffson.bsky.social
Forgot to write the title like a moron! :P

It's supposed to be one drawing a day but yeaaaah! :P Fun is the main goal!
0laffson.bsky.social
Oh? What do you mean with "old" setting? The copper age one or my usual renaissance one that was created before?

Either way glad to hear it! :D
0laffson.bsky.social
Yeah, absolutely! That is precisely what I'm trying this year, burning out is just counterproductive!
0laffson.bsky.social
Thank you! :D I should do more action poses in general, they are fun!
0laffson.bsky.social
I used to do Inktober back in the day, but there was drama with that, so I decided to make my own thing and call it Drawtober just for funsies. I made my own prompt list with a word generator, and try to make a quick-ish sketch every day!

I'm glad! :D
