It feels like most people would rather we die than be afforded healthcare.

My family can't afford to insure me *and* keep us fed and housed. Best case scenario is I will suffer constant pain without my meds

That's been a real struggle with crutches (shoulders, neck and collar bones) and knee scooter (knees, hips, and pelvis). I hope you never have to deal with this.

They never took my pain seriously, either. Shocker, I know.

Peppermint for an upset stomach. Chamomile to help you sleep. Vaccines for preventable illnesses.

Old graveyards are filled with child headstones for a reason

I shouldn't have to fight this hard to receive the most basic care, yet here I am.

If someone with #chronicpain says they hurt, believe them. We don't show it because it's our normal. That doesn't mean we deserve to suffer. #chronicillness affects acute injuries as well.

I deserve better

My neck and shoulders hurt so much from using crutches with my loose joints. And my ankle is flopping around in an ace bandage.

Now I have to fight to get a second opinion and hope they listen. Meanwhile, I'm stuck in bed most days, completely miserable.

Meanwhile, I can feel the broken bones shift every time I move. I was up all night in pain.

Nobody takes my other health issues into consideration. I have to fight to be heard. I've fallen 3 times from #pots, #vertigo and poor proprioception. I heal slowly due to #ehlersdanlos.

That was 3 weeks ago. This week they removed the cast, put on an ace wrap, and put me in a boot that was too painful to even strap on, then I was sent to X-rays.

There's no sign of healing.

I called the DR back the next day and they said to try my best, see you in a month.
