I do not like tacks at all & I don't put them on patients. What if it fell off & scraped the person or punctured someone else?

If I recollect correctly, they were on sale in the herb store at my acupuncture school but I don't remember that they were often-used in student clinic on patients.

Thanks for this question & I'm glad you asked. It's not a huge thing, but it is a thing when the vocabulary isn't entirely accurate.

Tacks (similar to seeds but pierce the skin) could be termed either but seeds are acupressure.
