Yesterday was the big day:
The team of the Glasgow-Maynooth OG(H)AM project celebrated the end of four years of intensive work (2021-5) with the launch - in the venerable rooms of the Royal Irish Academy @ria.ie - of the new, revised and hugely updated 𝕆𝕘𝕙𝕒𝕞 𝕚𝕟 𝟛𝔻 database and website.

Happy International Day of Ogham! Although the OG(H)AM project has sadly now finished, work on ogham continues. Here is a sneak preview of our digital corpus, still under development, but due to be launched in September! #InternationalDayOfOgham

Ogma’s ogham workshop, cutting edge since c. 700
Cartoon with an ogham stone in the foreground with “ogma ⁊ sons ogham carvers our work is cutting edge” on the front and ogham on the right edge. A roundhouse is in the background with three stones piled in front and a small fire visible inside. A fence is behind the roundhouse with a small bird perched on one post and two other birds flying in the distance.

Time to learn #RTI, an imaging technique that creates an interactable file in which you can change the lighting position to create a different angle of raking light to emphasise features of an inscribed object. @3dgroovanstones.bsky.social @palaeofuturist.bsky.social @ndefaoite.bsky.social
