I was born and raised in Detroit through the 60s and 70s. As Black children, our parents and teachers prepared us for school field trips to Greenfield Village. Dearborn was a sundown town and has remained hostile to Black people. They sowed that hatred, so let them reap the whirlwind.
This comes to my mind every time I see one of those "he turned on us after we voted for him" stories.

No one shld lose sight of the fact that the Guard was only in DC as part of an extended political messaging stunt. The shooter is guilty for the attacks/carnage. Donald Trump is responsible for them. This is the collateral damage of Trump abusing his powers as President.

Many of Bowser's Black constituency (particularly working class) know that her untenable situation with Trump doesn't mitigate her harm and indifference towards us throughout her 10 years. Taking a hard pass on "thank you for your service" when her governance was antithetical to our survival.
