I thought it was just a random frog, but to find out it's a mascot of the lay flat movement is INCREDIBLE. it's so refreshingly, fittingly whimsical and ridiculous. hope this person's okay, what an icon

it's so sad how these older electronics we once cherished sit dead or get treated as nigh near trash. maybe they're sluggish and incapable for some things or need some TLC, but they can still be useful!!

in that vein, that's part of why I took so long to finally start turning my art physical -- even if it costs more, the manufacturing and post-life of my art shouldn't cause the planet more angst. good art can come on sustainable materials! we're not limited to plastic!

for the record, algae is one of the pixel artists whose work makes my brain go brrrrrr the most!! crazy how the textures evoke a painterly vibe but it's still so incredibly, delightfully digital at the same time
