No, but they pay attention to where your traffic comes from, and they prefer your traffic comes from the site itself. If a lot of people click on your video from your youtube page or from their normal feed, they show it to more people.

unfortunately youtube itself is a little weird about where your traffic comes from on videos, not that this is some channel I'm trying to get super huge or something hahaha

I don't even have many followers here on this account!
