I’m going to need a bit more of an explanation about this part. How exactly is it justified to murder three unarmed civilians because they might have seen your illegal operation? Would the NYT describe it as justified if North Korean commandos murdered three American civilians on a botched op?

"The point is to ensure that Congress isn't kept in the dark when major stuff is going on," Mr. Waxman said. "This is exactly the kind of thing that would normally be briefed to the committees and something the committees would expect to be told about."

This is a good read, and America is a fascist state, but this particular story is not new. The exact same thing happened to me from 2005-2008 every time I crossed the US border. So the mistaken identity thing isn’t just plausible, it’s a long-standing practice.

Does it happen in other countries?
