Loved science and animals, hated field research. Went to vet school, realized I wanted to not work on dogs and cats only, then did internship 1 (Emergency), Internship 2 (Wildlife), and Internship 3 (Wildlife+Zoo) before I finally got a long term job.

Prashant Singh in the lab of Tina Iverson at Vanderbilt published this image of the bacterial 🦠flagellar motor, a detailed molecular model made possibly by CryoEM 🔬.

The similarity to mechanical motors are strong enough we can use terms like stator, rotor, rod & gearing to describe it.

Can anyone help me find an old art. I think it was on DA 10-15 years ago. A photomanip of a woman, shoulders up, to look like an anthro fox. She was facing the camera and had a sly smile. I think her hair was in a ponytail. Lots of cream and orange in the colors. I can't find it anywhere!
