…like Jinu and Rumi!!! Which is NOTHING like Reylo! Jinu and Rumi have real on-screen development and actual chemistry. They bond over similar traumas and their desire to be free of past pain. Also Jinu is not a violent radicalized extremist!!! Or a cold-blooded killer!!

The worst thing TLJ did was sugarcoat Kylo Ren’s character. In TFA he was a brutal warrior who killed and tortured without remorse. He was radicalized into violent extremism, a choice he solidified by killing his father. That was all hand-waved away for some stupid romance that made no sense.

I've made some posts lately about the relationship between romantasy and misogyny. Needless to say, the genre has its rough patches—most notably "dark romantasy," where problematic elements like abuse, predatory behavior, and borderline pedophilia run rampant and are frequently romanticized. (1/8)

HECK YEAH. Just tacking on that romantasy FMCs are often *not feminist enough* and if you’re coming after a woman for being ‘too strong’ ‘too perfect’ or an ‘angry feminist’ you can f*ck right off, I’m so tired of hearing that. Your problem should be with toxic alpha males not with strong women 🙄
