Legal aid attorney: advocate for those the world says aren't deserving, b/c called to replicate the Incarnation, Christ walking among us. We're all broken, the only difference is some know it. Posting work observations of the crushing rock the poor face.
HUD.gov right now.

Has anyone invented a Rip VanWinkle pill yet? Asking for a friend.

The world, the universe, is such an amazing thing. And we have fucked up our little piece of it so very colossally.

It works on so many levels, but I particularly like this one from /u/Sir_Silly_Sloth: "white and extremely fragile"

The most effective thing being done to stop immigration is to turn the United States into such a shit hole country that no reasonable person would want to be here.

I wish I could be Rip Van Winkle.

a) finally something we can agree on. b) I wonder how the joint chiefs will react when musk starts rooting around in their hen house?

I know I have no followers so no one will see this, but I have to say it: folks waiting for the bridge too far should stop hoping in that, it will never come. The slow boil over 9/50 years has guaranteed that. They are pot-committed to the evil now.

How do there morons not understand that the chaos and upheaval they are seeking so desperately to cause will be disastrous for the economy and businesses they worship?

The work does not begin today. There were vulnerable people yesterday. There would have been vulnerable people tomorrow, no matter who was inaugurated.

Today we mourn. Tomorrow we say a prayer and get back to it.

Today's work observation: education due process complaints are intended to protect children with disabilities. From what I can tell, they are more likely to protect the school districts which fail those children.

It won't because most of us aren't paying attention and/or don't care. If we were paying attention and cared, what has been reported would have been enough for us to demand its end. We did not demand its end. QED.
According to the conversations in Israeli media, one thing holding Israel back from a ceasefire was/is the concern that when western reporters and human rights groups are allowed in, the true scale of the crime will shock the global conscience in a way it hasn’t yet

Today's work observation: the foster system is not equipped to deal with the broken children who are its purpose. The ones that escape it as whole, functioning adults are miracles. But we can try to be that miracle for a child.

What I can't figure out is, when the GOP finally manages to kill the ACA, SS, Medicare and Medicaid, how will they blame it on the Dems so that their base keeps voting for them?

Or is the goal here to eliminate the republic entirely first, so as to but have to worry about those pesky "votes"?
I'm going to miss seeing a doctor

This is how we roll. This is how we have always rolled. The sacrifice of the vulnerable buys them some words, maybe a moment of silence, but it never buys recognition of their humanity.
I’m sorry but the fact that Congress is about to throw immigrants under the bus at the very same time that countless immigrants in California are risking their lives to protect neighborhoods many of them could never aspire live in is breaking my brain in a whole new way.

Accurate metaphor.
remarkable to me that far from seeming cool or masculine zuck seems like an even bigger loser — the kind of nerd who preemptively gives his lunch money to the bully and thanks him for the opportunity

Today's work observation: special education due process is supposed to protect vulnerable students, but the deck is entirely stacked in the school district's favor. Timelines, standards of proof, the fact that they will bring a lawyer and most parents cannot afford one...

I personally think Robert’s sees we all view him as corrupt as Alito and Thomas! And feels he needs to throw us a bone every now and then!!

Today's work observation: it's almost impossible for Medicaid and most Medicare recipients (so, your parents/grandparents) to have anything but routine dental care covered? For instance, teeth breaking off due to illness? Can't get them extracted. I've had multiple clients with this problem.

Give me podcasts instead and I'll do as you suggest and never leave.
An escape room but it’s just your nice warm car with your favorite songs on shuffle and the actual world is outside

Today's work observation: never underestimate the capacity of petty and peevish bureaucrats to make the lives of the vulnerable (inevitably, the population most likely to have to deal with bureaucrats) difficult for no good reason.

I'm not sure what "The Traitors" actually is, but this continuousness is fitting. (Not sure you might have to click on the screenshot to see what I'm referring to).

If we had all stopped in 2015, the world would be a much better place.

*Twitter proved it was broken back in 2015 when it refused to ban him then.
Am I crazy for not listening to a fucking word Trump is saying right now?
