I believe we have moved beyond the traditional “republic” to democratic socialism, which does not preclude ideas such as UBI, universal healthcare, public works programs, cooperatives, unions, etc. and still allows for but challenges a lot of unchecked capitalist ideas.

And yet, what most are actually talking about is Democratic socialism which advocates for a socialist economic system operating within a democratic political framework and seeks to achieve a more equal, just society by democratically controlling the economy to benefit the majority, not just a few.

I’m so sad to hear that the Farmers’ Almanac is shuttering its doors. 😢

Absolutely 100%. He’s angling for yet another way to blame Dems for this GOP shutdown, and any related consequences. Another tactic to try and make Dems capitulate to GOP destruction of our health care and any safety net programs.

Omg, yes! I got a text for an upcoming appointment and had to read and sign (initial in multiple places, too) a 3 page document. For a hair appointment… a Hair Appointment?!

Yup! Now do a year to year Costco comparison of chocolate. I’ve been following chocolate coffee and some other products and it’s shocking the price differences from last year to this year.

Okay, I know it’s November 1, but I’m going to need you to check out the movie Weapons because it is freaking awesome. What a great freaky psychological horror film that has just enough of the gruesome combined with amazing acting & directing. 10 out of 10 from me!
