It's a hoarding disorder. If they collected old newspapers or cats to the same extent we'd get them therapy, but because it's money we put them on the cover of Forbes. The ultra-wealthy are a tiny, mentally unwell sliver of the population and they cause so much misery.
Just thinking about how fucked up mega-rich people must be, because they can't even enjoy their money properly, because the most enjoyable thing to do with money is to use it to fix people's problems.
