What are everyone's #writing goals #booksky? Is it publishing that first story, signing on with an agent, or hosting a book signing event?

For me, it's been over a year since my debut novella and we are just three months out before the sophomore, so next stop is my debut novel hopefully!

With a new novella coming out in January, I really have to start building an audience. They say a mailing list is a good way of reaching out but I'm technologically illiterate to an embarrassing extent. Anyone have any advice on how to get started with that?

To all writers, what would you say is the optimum time frame to leave a #WIP before returning to it with a fresh pair of eyes? For a novel, I try to wait at least a month but I get so impatient.
Are you all objective about edits when returning sooner?

About to finish Lapvona and unless the last 30 pages are diabolically bad it's going to be on of my absolute favourites. Been sticking to short stories for the last year or so, definitely what I need to get back into reading novels

Currently have #skeleta on repeat, so obsessed. Top (non-single) songs are definitely Cenotaph and Missilia Amori. I've heard some say that's it's a sellout or not ghost, but that's so far from the truth. Looking forward to getting home to my galaxy vinyl!
