My husband got his lazer eyes today and he's napping in this dark ass room with sunglasses on and he looks so silly! I love him! I hope his new eyes treat him good.

Gotta say goodbye to my girl cat Camo tomorrow. She's 15 years old and has been showing signs of end of life for about 6 months. She's 4 1/2 lbs and not gaining. She's having spells of sleeping in weird places and not wanting to eat. That's three cats in one year. Idk how more my heart can break.

Finally getting the furnace replaced today. What a long, cold week it's been. Though it's much better to do it now than later when it's snowy and below zero. Idk how I would survive that.

Sometimes I still like to lay on a couch with a sheet covering it while eating saltines and drinking 7-up even if I'm not physically sick because my mind associates all that with sick-days in childhood so it just makes me feel mentally better. Though I watch Drag Race now instead of Blues Clues lol

Heater can't be fixed till Monday. Still not getting higher than 57° days and close to freezing nights. I seriously can't do another night of this and I guess I have four more to go. Considering getting a hotel room for the weekend.

Heater went out on Sunday. Can't fix it till tomorrow afternoon. It wasn't too bad these past few days, but we have a frost advisory this morning and the feels like temp is 35°. Me and the cat are camped out in front of the space heater. She's been so cuddly because she's cold.

My husband and I are going to try to find a way to move to Colorado permanently. As much as we love Iowa and the Midwest we've both been wanting to back to Colorado and just stay there forever. The air out there just feels so right. The air at 600ft feels so weird now. Get me out!!! Lol

My husband and I have decided that we're going to get serious and put in the work to one day hike the north to south rim of the Grand Canyon and stay at the Phantom Ranch down in it. Working out, targeted work outs, serious hiking, and secluded camping. It's going to be so fun!

Well, got back from a great trip. I've never been able to travel like that. And boom, one of my cats had to be immediately put down. Second one this year. RIP Felix. Thank you for waiting for us to get home.
