I had the idea of a "cone holder" in 2018 when I made my Quadric Surfaces Set. I designed a new one for this model and I'm so pleased with how it all came together! 😊

Another mathematical model! 🎉

"Conic Sections Cone" shows a hyperbola, parabola, ellipse, and circle formed by planes cutting a cone. Both nappes of the cone together illustrates the two branches of a hyperbola.

Now at Cults3D. More in comments.

Two New Posts! 🎉🎉
My son and I designed this "Game Board with Markers" and "Game Spinner" inspired by his project for school. Add your own themed elements to the game board. Make your own rules and have fun! Links and Spinner photos in comments.

What did I print today? Sine and Cosine!
These are for math teachers in my department getting ready to teach trigonometry. An amazing, hands-on illustration of some trig identities!

"Unit Circle Triangles & Tray" now at Cults3D. 🎉
I made worksheets too that fit the triangles perfectly. My colleagues are eager to use these in upcoming lessons and I've been printing class sets of triangles in Jessie PLA.

Hey, Printed Solid! Did you slip a few extra grams onto my spool? I set up "spool join" on my XL last night, but I didn't need it! My 5th print of these trays that PrusaSlicer said would be 213.40 g of Jessie PLA, all on a new spool and there is still some left over. Sweet!

Another teacher and I received a small grant from our school's parent foundation for 3D printing to support our math classes. Thinking class sets for hands on for students and larger models for display. When choosing filament, it was Printed Solid Jessie PLA all the way! @printedsolid.bsky.social

🎉 New Post: Saddle Surfaces!
These were inspired by some of my Calculus III lessons. I'm excited to share them with my students! I particularly like the contour map surfaces and will probably use the technique again more.
