Here in Spain, the best tomato I've ever tasted, and grown from saved seed, is the huevo de toro, (egg of the bull or bulls bollock). In the nearby village of Coin, they have a tasting and the winner gets a few thousand euros. The tomatoes were auctioned of for charity to a restaurant.
