On September 27th, the Union of Seasonal Sugarcane Workers held a powerful General Assembly with over 80 members in attendance (90% of SOSUCAM’s departments).
The meeting set the course for upcoming campaigns, recruited new leaders, and elected a diverse new local office.

Wuune Belgium held their first permanence for the rent cap campaign—5 new members joined and dozens more tenants got involved.

A recent court decision now gives tenants the power to appeal unfair rents and win reductions. The time to organize is NOW! ✊🏽🏠

Our affiliate Acorn Coventry has stopped the eviction of member Abduobaiyda and his family.
Through collective action, they secured a private tenancy at the property, which means Abduobaiyda’s children can stay in their home and he has the accessible housing he needs.

ACORN Leeds members just stopped a rent hike that would have forced member Norman out of his home. His landlord tried to raise the rent by £50/month during a cost of living crisis, but ACORN took action and cut that rise down to just £5.
