Our culture has such an insatiable appetite for economic growth, regardless of the destruction of our host that we draw life from. There's another entity with that behavior. It's called cancer.

I'm sorry. Using food as a negotiating leverage is vial. Instead, remove money from the argument by dumping the 112 year old, 7000 page income tax code and adopting Flow Tax. Imagine the ground swell of support this would create.

The tax is not progressive, it's proportional. Once we enter the progressive model then the definition of what is income kicks in which is where there is all sorts of manipulation.
If a household has $100k income, their tax load is $500, no more. Take a look at the FAQ's attached to the link.

$6.2 quadrillion transactions/yr. The amount of transactions by wealthy is MUCH higher. Tax is unavoidable.
No other tax is needed. So a 98% lower tax load overall.
