I fundamentally do not understand the modern internet; how the hell is my most popular post a throwaway joke about my obsolete cameras?

AI “activism” is many things: opportunistic, clout chasing, engagement farming, dangerous for vulnerable communities, no better than the people on the right these Facebook/instagram pilled rubes complain about. Coward blocked me for calling out this fake post.

I assume awkword is going to block me, so the original post leading to this comment is an AI video with the caption "this is how it's done"

If you're genuinely afraid that your fantasy of how something should be done is too unsafe for the real world, it isn't how it should be done.

Democracy dies in farts.
Feeling gassy after Thanksgiving? Take a fart walk.

Light exercise after a big meal can help. Whatever you do, resist the urge to lie down.

It is deeply amusing to me how obvious it is from the reply quality alone that a post of mine has broken containment.

I miss every friend who's not.

The Inflation Reduction Act was driving huge successes not only in clean energy, but also in grid resilience. I've worked with counties where the only reason they still had power after natural disasters was because of solar and microgrid projects that the tax credits allowed them to afford.
imagine what we could be doing if the federal government wasn't actively trying to throttle the growth of this industry

Lots of people sharing this clip because it's funny and cathartic but I also genuinely believe it's important.

We have to win the narrative battle between "I live in a corrupt society and that's just how it is" and "I live in a corrupt society and we are going to defeat and humiliate these ghouls."
Good morning to Brazilian reporter Manuela Borges, who’s been waiting eleven years for this petty moment. ❤️ 🇧🇷

I know that experience. I spent a large portion of my life living exactly this way because I was *terrified* that someone might see who I actually am.

It's literally better to be openly trans, even with all the shit going on right now, than to live the life some cis men impose on themselves.
So many men go through life like that. You can play poker because it's right-coded, you can't enjoy fruity alcoholic drinks because they're women-coded, you can't lick an ice cream cone because it's gay-coded. All day, every day, choosing and judging things based on coding for narrow norms.

You’ve been kidnapped. The characters from the last TV show you watched are trying to rescue you. Who’s coming to save you?

Whether I'm saved is going to be iffy, but it'll be worth the ride. And I'll probably get to meet Boggy the Froggy!

I feel so sad for people who aren't changed by exploring the world and having new experiences. What a horribly boring life they must lead.
Why? When you get there, it's still you & all your baggage in the car, so what's changed?

Food discourse is always interesting to me since my own diet is largely defined by eating whatever the 'tism allows on the theory that it's probably better to eat a frozen pizza than nothing at all.

The best advice I can give to younger queers is: Join a biker gang. You end up doing cool things like riding motorcycles into bars for burlesque shows and hanging out with the best people.

I remember when Road & Track carried articles by people like Peter Egan who extolled the virtues of cheap and cheerful cars with absolutely beautiful prose.

Now it's running absolute slop like this "sorry but anything under six figures can't be a classic" screed.

Sometimes I just want to write a three-word car review of "no me gusta" and call it a day.
