I’m here! Sort of! Butterfly app won’t let me turn on mention notifications without also turning on follow and like notifications, but follow and like notifications will make you miserable, so I have all notifications turned off! But I do log in every few days to check for mentions!
General FYI in case anyone has an esoteric question and doesn’t mind waiting an indeterminate amount of time for an answer. bsky.app/profile/adam...

I’m sure the bots will be here eventually, but the authenticity of one’s followers only matters if you attach significance to the total number of followers, and I’d suggest people would be happier on social media if they did much less of that.

Best I can see is the priority notifications setting. Unsure if that's going to function exactly as you want, but maybe. And it seems like they're making it more customizable. Also, I take solace in knowing every new follow is a real person, so that's nice.

Is there any way to mute notifications for likes and follows on Bluesky?
I like notifications for replies so I can respond in a timely manner, but evidence (and personal experience) suggests likes and follows are pure junk food which will (A) misalign your incentives and (B) make you miserable.
