Just when you think people can’t hate higher ed more, they outdo themselves.
TX Tech has a flow chat for guidance on what can be taught in the university system. Two things:
1. Very little content seems to be permitted. This is partisan control of the curriculum.
2. I would not enjoy teaching under these conditions, but I really would not want to be a Chair or Dean.

Same! Klaus was an instant family classic the minute we watched it in 2019. Beautifully animated and such a heartwarming story.
yesss this is so good—we’ve watched it every year since 2019
Once more watching this absolute classic and I will not rest until everybody does the same and acknowledges it.

The Macy’s Thanksgiving Day parade is always a fever dream. You’ve got Matteo Bocelli singing “Caruso,” but he’s doing it on a float next to a cheese grater, a pasta knight, and some fire breathing dragon. Brought to you by Rao’s pasta sauce.

Plus, we have no idea the degree to which government computing systems have been breached by private actors. It doesn’t take a genius to wonder what a bunch of code monkeys, loyal only to an oligarch, did to government tech infrastructure.
This. To say nothing of the destroyed careers and livelihoods, the abandoned research, and the probably irreparable trust defect for anyone who *might* have been contemplating a career in public service. Please, stop with the DOGE failure narratives.

It’s also just wrong. Sure, there’s a .5-.75% difference between California and North Dakota, but take a look at the rapid increase in red Rocky Mountain states. This narrative is just a straight lie.
Only someone this wealthy would so flippantly suggest you uproot your life, sell your house, pull your kids out of school, quit your job, request a transfer — all to save 50 basis points on CPI. 🤡

This. You could correct almost everything in two years. But it would take a Congress that’s willing to fill the vacuum that executive power has filled and to rein in a SCOTUS that has dramatically overstepped its function.

Personally, in response to the debate, about what label to give the regime (fascist, authoritarian, reactionary, etc.), I think Aristotle offers the simplest label: tyranny.

This email is also regarding a child who suffered abuse from a grown man.

Seth has been calling this out for a long time. He’s not the only one, but his thoroughness is unparalleled.
Please don’t do this, America. Please don’t act like the Trump-Epstein emails we saw today were our first glimpse of something.

Don’t buy the narrative that these emails are useful because they *hint* at misconduct. We *know* there was misconduct.

You can read a fully sourced book on it for free:
{Book 1} Proof of Devilry: The Crimes of Donald Trump, Ghislaine Maxwell, and Jeffrey Epstein
The available evidence places Trump, Epstein, and Maxwell at the heart of a multistate and multinational child sex-, sex- and human-trafficking ring whose discovery could change the course of history.

Assume all the yes and no votes from Dem senators are strategic and not sincere votes. The party caucus made a decision. No way to know how many were in favor. Then the caucus decided who would vote yes and no based on what would protect each of them politically the most. That’s how this works.
