I may not have this correct but SJR still has first right of refusal at a guaranteed share price of around $33/share. That agreement remains in place until Feb 2027. There was a great substack post about a month ago. I’ll try to track it down.

That is one point we can agree on: riddled with debt, valued at 2-3x higher that its market capitalization, massive capital investment of probably £2b still required, need to spend more on the squad. But again that all still points to the Glazers being here for the foreseeable future, doesn’t it?

Maybe my logic might be faulty here but better investment alternatives would actually require them making actual investments? The Glazers purchased United solely on debt, and then loaded it on to the club. They hadn’t spent a penny yet now they have a £4-5b investment. That’s a nice return.

In a balanced and deeper squad he’d be the back up LWB deputizing and learning from an experienced player. Sadly we are not that club anymore. It’s a big ask for a 20 year old to come in and be consistent.

You can’t miss the Glazers because they still own the club and no one in their right mind misses Woodward, Judge, Murtough, Arnold & co.

Never had faith in them in the first place. And given their track record at Nice and a lot of their other sporting ventures I’m not sure why anyone else did either.
