I did a paper in college about the similarity between pro wrestling and comedian dell'arte; stock characters/archetypes, audience interaction/participation, broad comedic situations, etc. I get the feeling she has a very similar approach to her presentation to that.

I honestly don't even really know why Swerve has issues with The Opps. Given there weren't issues between the two parties before Swerve took time off, the only reason I could think he returned when he did, how he did, was indeed out of respect/deference/loyalty/etc. to Page. 🤷‍♂️

I hated Elias/Ezekiel/etc., but i loved the way KO went about this, because it proves why pro wrestling is the best; getting an entire audience to willingly suspend their disbelief to buy into a character like an inside joke is masterful work and one of the best ways wrestling can be fun.
