I've participated in the Ukraine Action Summit as part of the Ohio delegation. His Senate office was one of the most hostile we visited. His staffer was rude to a Gold Star Mom.

People's houses or towns burning down or washing away is bad for prosperity, and so are the 8 million or so annual deaths from fossil-fuel particulates. Hurricane Helene was extremely bad for western North Carolina prosperity. Island nations going underwater, ditto.

I'm not minimizing any of the countless other reasons he should be drafting his resignation.
It's that he said this to a woman. In her workplace. In front of her colleagues. While she does her job.
