Last winter, one of our ducks was attacked in the evening by an opossum and Jody rushed her to an emergency vet (tucked under their arm in a canvas bag). She spent the next three weeks in our bathtub as we cleaned her wounds and gave her antibiotics, and made a full recovery 🙌🦆

Maryam Mirzakhani was a brilliant Iranian mathematician. 📝🇮🇷 She was the first woman to win the prestigious Fields Medal, which is the equivalent to a Nobel Prize in math. She studied geometric surfaces, which has implications in cosmology, quantum physics, and cryptography.
