I did quite well driving on the left side in Scottland, I know Japanese so road signs shouldn't be as much of a problem. But I would feel more comfortable with someone in the passenger seat.
Also there are some nice & affordable hotels in the area 👀

Das hatte bestimmt auch Angst vor den Serpentinen. Kann das vollkommen nachvollziehen (ich musste damals stehen.. ganz hinten, leicht erhöht mit guten Blick den Abhang hinunter)
