We've had Moxxie for about a month now and he's roughly doubled in size. He's not so much a wobbly fluff potato anymore so much as a mini version of the dog he'll grow into as an adult!

This silly little fluff thinks the pet scale we got to keep track of him and Moxxie's weights is his new bed. At least this means it'll be easy to get him onto it regularly to check his weight. 💙

Haven't posted about him until now because Everything Has Been So Much lately, but we got a puppy! His name is Moxxie (yes, after the Helluva Boss character) and he's 11 weeks old as of yesterday.

Really grateful for this little guy these days. He's been shadowing me around the house a lot, keeping Sapphire company when we aren't home, and just generally being a very gentle, extra affectionate little sweetheart.

He really is such a gorgeous boy! This is one of my fav pics of him before all this happened, so once all his fur grows back and he gains a little weight, he'll look even more handsome. 🧡

After some excitement yesterday (his food tube getting accidentally pulled out), our Orange Son is at least having a more restful day.

Unscheduled trip to the vet aside, I don't think he's too sorry about this. Though I guess this leaves me giving him the rest of his medication the usual way. Pray for me, lol. 🫠

I think this is probably the best morning Ezra has had in a while. His breathing is alright, he was interested in being around us rather than staying in the bedroom, and he got a bit of plain, baked, skinless chicken with his regular food. He also got a bit playful, which was good to see. 🥹🧡

Okay, just got off a call with the doctor on shift at the animal hospital, and she thinks Ezra should be okay to go home. He's on some new meds that seem to have stabilized him and he's almost off the prednisolone, so hopefully he won't get any more fluid in his lungs.

So this is part of what feeding time looks like right now. He's been a very good boy about staying still for me, which is good because the full amount for each round needs to be administered over 15 to 20 minutes.

He's home and very tired. I imagine it's about as easy to get any rest in a pet hospital ICU as it is in a hospital for humans. The constant check-ins, unfamiliar noises, etc. He did have a little food and some water, though, and I gave him his antibiotics.

We went to visit the boy in the ICU this morning and were encouraged to see that he was responsive and aware of his surroundings. He's got both an IV and food tube placed, but having those means he's getting what he needs to recover, hopefully. ❤️🩹

If I could get some good vibes for my boy Ezra, it'd be super appreciated. He hadn't been eating well so we got him to the vet, but the lack of enough food has started to cause him liver issues. He needed to be admitted to the hospital wing for a couple days. 😭
