I came across this old flyer from a demonstration in Berlin. Back in the day when everyone was in solidarity with Sweida.

At daycare drop off yesterday, Dalia told me that 3 years ago, she was “inside mommy’s belly” and then “popped out of mommy”. And now she is getting “bigger and bigger”. What a story. I’m not sure how I got so lucky to “pop out” the coolest kid in the world.

I am so glad I was able to attend the International Community, Work, and Family Conference. Thank you to my co-panelists, Deborah and Ipeleng, for an incredible and inspiring panel.

I’m late, I know (bought this 3 or 4 years ago). But finally got around to it.

Parenting on snow days with a toddler is hard, especially if you work from home. Days like this remind me that a flexible work from home option is not a substitute for childcare.

Besides the patriarchal + cultural/social expectations of motherhood and the exploitation of moms/caregivers/caregiving, being a mom is pretty damn cool.

Day 2 of a sick kid. I told her she could do whatever she wanted today. She said she wanted to go to a party, ride a bus, and drive a car. Very reasonable requests.
