Lawyers to birds, for birds and by birds.
It's so strange that none of these people ever criticise the ALP for letting the good be the enemy of perfect.

The ALP could just choose to have better legislation with the Greens.

I wonder if the subject of the article contributes much to the world... oh, no.

Qatar saying that it was an attack on a residential building too. Undoubtedly a civilian target.

Won't someone think of the apartheid advocate's feelings?

LOL.

When I say their legal reasoning is bad. I mean you can pick out the exact paragraphs and sentences where it is just obviously wrong.

You'll never guess whether it gets worse.

If my partner was virulently racist and giving very significant amounts of money to harm minorities I might at least have something to say about it to them.

Pic unrelated.

While Segal won't tell her husband not to be racist she will tell the government to defund universities, public broadcasters and refuse people's visas of they are critical of Israel.

Never forget, the hypocrisy is the point of conservative politics.

I am looking forward to the ECAJ and the AJA and the ZFA of Australia joining in the multicultural condemnation of the ongoing genocide against Palestinians and the apartheid occupation of Palestine.

That is what Segal means by this right?

Incredibly weird drive-by in the context of the article. "Man accurately describes another man's politics, but it's actually antisemitic" is the exact point the rest of the article is criticising.

Police should never be able to introduce ex post facto justifications for their conduct.

It suggests that at the time of the purported exercise of LEPRA powers police are not assessing whether their conduct is lawful. It then encourages police to do whatever they want and justify it later.

An incredibly accurate description of how the ABC is run.
June 25, 2025 at 7:37 AM
@mattbevan.bsky.social did you mean to repost an article describing Israeli crimes of aggression and genocide as successes?
June 13, 2025 at 11:38 PM
Google AI telling people it is the same in NSW (it is not)

One of those articles where you can pinpoint the exact moment it goes wrong.

Violence, especially against property or organs of the state, may be legitimate forms of protest. Violence is not only moral when conducted by the state.

That's a lot of silk.

To be fair to Albanese, it's pretty hard for him to stop doing fascist stuff.

The UK Supreme Court for this exceptionally wrong. It is one of those judgments you can pinpoint the exact moment it went wrong and abandoned rational logical reasoning.
