-Journey in discovering himself was heartwarming. The found family was so interesting (especially Mattias!!) even when Sonia got really aggravating at times. Rio’s story was really interesting as well and I loved learning about him and found myself holding my breath at the end for him. 5⭐️ #booksky

-and healing journeys for Sam and Julie, I felt this one fell short on that same journey for Oliver. I really could’ve done without this and it broke my heart. Ultimately I gave it 3.75⭐️ because of my love for his other books, but it probably would’ve been lower otherwise. #booksky

-didn’t do anything for me. I truly feel nothing either way to this book. I found Oliver selfish and insufferable and I don’t feel like he really learned anything at the end. I also don’t like that we never saw the talk between him and Julie. While You’ve Reached Sam was a beautiful story of grief-

And because it didn’t hold my hand with the recap I just got it downloaded on Libby and jumped into the last book! I felt this was really slow in the middle because it felt weird to get the info dump of the backstory now rather than over the course of the three books. I liked the conclusion overall.

I still think my favorite of the two is Bride. Koen was just a little too much of an ass at times despite being a complete marshmallow for Serena.

-and the background of everyone in this world we meet it really picked up. Towards the end I found myself wanting desperately to know if Poppy succeeded or not and if she can dismantle the racism that is destroying the Virian culture. I hope we learn more about the magic as well. Overall 5⭐️ from me!
