I guess it's better now, than never? Sebo's points are quite sharp. Mainly, we shouldn't ignore the question of Artificial Consciousness merely on the basis that it's too difficult and "perhaps" unsolvable.

Actually, it's quite easy to program an AI to systematically review its output wrt a specific criteria or target. It can't fully solve the problem of biases (which is too complex). But we can never trust a racist to stop discriminating, or be systematically self-critical.

That apparently still isn't stressed enough: AI answers aren't reliable... they make up facts and currently there is no cure for that. Don't rely on AI for critical and important processes.

like... people don't have such biases? the problem isn't coming from ai... we create the problem by having discriminatory systems, when we should simply give equal rights to everyone
