Most Americans — including ICE officers — have never heard of many legal statuses, yet treat them as if they’re illegitimate, suspicious, or “fake.”

Today, sadly, ICE cares about their own power, and about getting revenge against people that they blame for their own personal failings.

Nowadays, ICE is a militia hired for their ideology, not their former respect for overly complex federal law. They don't care about Congressional intent, legal immigrants with complex cases, or the Constitutional rights of all people in U.S. territory.

Times have changed drastically since then, and especially since the 1980s and the Reagan Administration. I remember from my work then that ICE (then called the Immigration and Naturalization Service) was very tough, but still usually fair, in assessing people.

Millions of people have complicated immigration statuses due to the legal complexities created by Congress since the 1920s; before then, Americans didn't care about their neighbors' status, and it was legal for adult property-owning men to vote regardless of their citizenship.

Now, ICE illegally arrests U.S. passport and green-card holders who have broken no laws, again to meet quotas, or because the ICE officer doesn't feel that Native Americans or Puerto Ricans deserve their citizenship, or because the officer hates the loopholes that make folks legal.

Long before Trump, ICE already had a long history of erroneously arresting U.S. citizens who have valid birth certificates from states and territories that the ICE officers are too dumb -- or desperate for arrest quotas -- to recognize as American.

As it happens, federal immigration law is extremely complicated, with countless types of legal immigration status that don't give a person the green card or passport that so many people expect.

I have seen Mona Charen and her guests caricature Democrats, and given her history as a columnist, The Bulwark would not have hired her if they didn’t agree with that bigoted garbage — and with moving the Overton Window into Phyllis Schlafly territory.

Tim became the only watchable thing about The Bulwark, and they don't seem happy with his ratings, which I'm sure they blame on him and not the fact that they demand Bush Republican lameness and homogeneity from every host.

I finally decided Tim wasn't enough of a reason to watch them anymore.

I see most Bulwark hosts saying the same horrible things that they always said about liberals, while falsely framing Democrats as transgender Marxists who need to be more like out-of-touch Rockefeller Republicans.

They suffer the same delusions as the Democrats' old guard of elitist losers.
