There's no reason our client should be detained today. Unfortunately, he's not the only one. Countless lives are being turned upside down by the government's cruel, unjust enforcement.

None of this makes our country safer or better. It's about making immigrants afraid to live their lives.

The answer: immigration enforcement has changed under the new administration.

The government no longer seems to care about prioritizing people who are "dangerous." Instead, they are disrupting the lives of ordinary people just trying to live.

Local police arrested him & turned him over to ICE. Now, he's detained again in Louisiana.

In 2019, the government agreed with us that he with us that he wasn't a priority for deportation & didn't need to be detained.

So why is he back in detention now?

In 2019, one of our clients was detained.

We petitioned for a bond and won. He paid it & was released.

Since then, he's followed every rule & showed up to every court hearing.

A few weeks ago, he was pulled over for a broken taillight in rural TN.
