Sixth grade teachers can also say, “Don’t use ai images” in the assignment. They can say, “Don’t use pictures just as filler” or “Draw something yourself.” There is noooo reason this has to be tolerated in an educational setting.

True, and you do hear of related injuries and fatalities. I don’t know if the danger posed to pedestrians by a horse-drawn carriage is greater than that posed by e.g. a modern bus. It would be interesting to see statistics.

Also, did you know: Ancient Rome was pedestrian-only during the day! Wheeled vehicles were only allowed within city limits after dusk.

(Though it may have felt like they were.)

It’s a really interesting question with a lot of different variables involved! I don’t think cities in any era were horse-dominated in the way that they are car-dominated today, for example.

I think ira’s point is that a personal horse was always kind of an elite thing. Common people used forms of mass transit or, before those existed, just walked. And didn’t tend to travel long distances as much.

Which is unappetizing to put it mildly.

I feel there’s an upper size limit on the concept of “dumpling” and that a full-sized pie is well beyond it.

Bonus: you will then have a lot of hyenas in the neighbourhood! That is a bonus, right?
