I'm trying to get some work done and this guy keeps insisting he use my lap as a pillow.

Went out to do morning pet duty and found our neighbor's (abandoned) cat passed in the yard. We had just taken him to the vet yesterday and he was doing good, so it's a bit of a shock. Rest in peace Mister Miguel.

Just look at it! Haunting, metaphorical, and stunning.

My yearly (haha yah right) Amazon Japan purchase has arrived! Still surprised I didn't buy any fountain pen ink.

He may look like he's innocently sleeping, but he's not. It's a trap. One wrong move will spring him into action. I'm surprised I get any work done, honestly.

Man, I love Daiso. I need to go back and get 5 more of these beauties.

Second vet trip of the year. A simple recheck. Local. Free. These are almost the best kind!

First read of the new year (that isn't a web comic) is a reread. I wish the whole series had been printed in English (RIP early Tokyopop.) I prefer the original order, but I do see how linear is easier for younger readers.

The Park Fire up here in Nor Cal is crazy to look at (from a safe distance!) Videos show it ballooning, but it feels like it grows slowly at this massive size.

The view from home was certainly unpleasant.

While waiting for the vet to call and give us an update on Lilly, we went to get coffee. The view was perfect to catch this shot. You can guess out panic; we live just behind that building.

Lilly was a sweet little thing. The vet said she most likely had FIP, an incurable neurological disease that often pits the body against itself. 10% of cats who contract feline coronavirus will get FIP.

Show me a picture on your phone that has your energy but isn't a selfie

A few months ago my neighbor moved and abandoned his two cats. We've been trying to gentle them and find them a new home. They now let me know when they want attention.

This is the view from across the kitchen to my bedroom office and it spooks me every time!
