I have a lot of made up words in my novel. There are TWO glossaries to help readers out (because there are two conlangs). But as you say, I went about creating them very deliberately. I use them with intent. It might raise the barrier to entry but I don’t think it’s impossibly high. 😮💨

Put their names into Random Thing Picker (Google it) and have it decide for you. Works for me when I have decision paralysis.
