an ao3 summary for A Belated Destiny by Akitombo (Akiwrites) Summary: Barman!Kirishima’s bar hosts a regular open mic night. Kiri is desperate to know if the punk-rock cover band with the hot blond vocalist is going to be re-appearing. It’s been 3 months and he still had his autograph saved in his wallet. Vocalist!Bakugou doesnt wanna go back to that bar. Not if he’s still there. That stupidly cute bartender that he’d been flirting with half the night asked for his autograph; so he wrote his REAL name, his phone number and even what room number he was in the Motel across the street. It was a stupid; spare of the moment thing. Then like a damn idiot he waited for something to happen. For a text… a call… anything. The redhead could have said ‘no thanks’ straight away if he wasn’t interested, It would have been OK, Bakugou would have backed off. Instead of leading him on by flirting like a damn teenager then leaving! When his bandmate Mina convinces him to go back and ‘completely blow the roof off the place.’ To ‘Make him regret not calling Bakugou back’. He agrees. He even agrees to her questionable fashion choices for him to wear. She’s right: No-one makes Bakugou Katsuki wait.
